Drake Well Museum interprets the founding of the oil industry in Pennsylvania for residents and visitors by educating its audiences about the persons, places, and events important to the development of the petroleum industry and its growth into a global enterprise.
Is your class ready to stop studying and start experiencing Pennsylvania History? Then we invite you to come Live the Lease Life at Drake Well Museum. Every lease tour is customized to fit your schedule and course of study. Activities can include coopers, blacksmiths, civil war renactors, storytellers, ecology, and geology. Lease tours meet Pa standards in areas 5 government and civics, 6 economics, 7 geography, 8 history, and science and technology and engineering education.
